COL THE GRENADIERS VIS TO CHAKRA BATTALION

1.         The ‘GALLANT EIGHTH’ was indeed honoured and privileged to be visited by  Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM GOC Strike One and Col The GRENADIERS. At the outset, the COLONEL expressed his immense pleasure on visiting the Battalion for the first time in   his COR tenure.

2.         Informing about the positive response for the Battalion he’d recd from the envt, the Colonel acknowledged the success and achievements of the unit in the present tenure.

3.         Colonel The GRENADIERS addressed all ranks of the unit in the Special Sainik Sammellan and motivated them to prepare well, excel in next tenure at HAA location and presented an ICE AXE shield as a token of good luck for the field tenure. He also boosted the morale of the troops by awarding medallion to deserving soldiers for their outstanding performance in the Bn.         

4.         The address culminated with a gp photograph and  BAATCHEET during tea with tps  and a ferocious war cry of ‘Sarvada Shaktishali’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ reverberating  in the environment.

5.         A special FWC meet was also organised for Mrs Rita Mitra, wherein the lady interacted with the families and appreciated the unit efforts for encouraging the families for the various entrepreneur activities undertaken by them enabling them to be part of unit success.
