COR VIS TO 24 GRENADIERS : 07 FEB 2025

It was a matter of great honor and privilege for 24 GRENADIERS (Young and the Best) to be graced by the visit of Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, Colonel The GRENADIERS & GOC 1 Corps

While addressing the Battalion through a  special Sainik Sammelan on 7 Feb 25, the Colonel congratulated the unit for  being earmarked to receive the SWC GOC-in-C Unit Citation. He also provided guidance for the unit’s upcoming field tenure out of his vast experience.

Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra also  motivated the troops to achieve excellence in Army courses. He also sensitized them on cybersecurity and the importance of preventing non-operational casualties. The General Officer further emphasized on maintaining the highest standards in training, administration, and security.

The Unit was also blessed by being the maiden battalion to receive * Col The GRENADIERS Medallions for Excellence*. 13 outstanding Offrs, JCOs and troops were presented with these medallions. Also Native Infantry Trophy which has been recently conceptualised by the Colonel The Grenadiers himself, was presented to the Paltan.
