Embracing the Legacy of Excellence: A Warm Welcome to the Newly Commissioned Officers of The Grenadiers January 09, 2025

     On January 9, 2025, Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, GOC 1 Corps and Col The GRENADIERS, addressed eight newly commissioned officers through VC marking the start of their journey with one of the Indian Army’s most esteemed regiments.

The officers joining Sarvada Shaktishali Fraternity are:

Lt Tushar Sheoran - 2 GRENADIERS
Lt Tadepalli Sharat Chandra - 3 GRENADIERS
Lt Harsh Suteri - 6 GRENADIERS
Lt Hritik Balasaheb Kashid - 6 GRENADIERS
Lt Maneesh Kumar - 12 GRENADIERS
Lt Harpreet Singh - 14 GRENADIERS
Lt Saurav Himmat Rao Chavan - 19 GRENADIERS
Lt Pisini Abhishek - 25 GRENADIERS

Seven of these officers are second-generation in olive green, while Lt Harpreet Singh stands out for his unique journey from soldier to officer.

Lt Gen Mitra encouraged the officers to start afresh, setting high standards of excellence with no room for mediocrity. He urged them to understand and embody the regimental values of Naam, Namak, Nishan, and adapt to The GRENADIERS ethos. He stressed the importance of leadership, team-building, physical and mental fitness, and continuous self-improvement.

The COR concluded by emphasizing that success lies in working hard, learning continuously and raising the bar in every sphere.
"You now carry the legacy of valor—work hard, adapt, and the sky is the limit." said the COR while asking the young bloods to make promises to themselves and the regiment to do well and contribute positively to the org.
