TRIBUTE TO BRIG JAGMAL SINGH RATHORE, VrC, VSM (RETD) 

5 & 13 GRENADIERS (GJ) 

I deeply regret to inform you about the sad demise of IC–13058W Brig Jagmal Singh Rathore, VrC, VSM (Retd) on 27 Apr 2026. He was commissioned into 13 GRENADIERS on 17 Dec 1961. He commanded the same battalion from 06 Dec 1977 to 25 Nov 1980, he also served with  5 GRENADIERS.  On important staff and appointment, he served as DAQMG of 25 Infantry Division from 01 Feb 1974 to 15 Feb 1976. Thereafter, he worked as AAG of 71 Sub Area from 31 Jan 1981 to 12 May 1983. From 26 May 1983 to 24 July 1986, he served as Group Commander at NCC Group Headquarter, Jodhpur. He was then Commander of 79 Mountain Brigade from 04 Aug 1986 to  02 Jan 1989. Subsequently, he served as Commandant of CMP Centre and School from 14 Jan 1989 to 31 Aug1992. He retired from service on 01 Sep 1992.
