WREATH LAYING CEREMONY AT THE NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL  

OF GDR (LATE) HUKUM SINGH MEENA, SM OF 12 GRENADIERS  

A wreath-laying ceremony was solemnly organised at the National War Memorial, New Delhi on 09 Apr 2026 to honour and remember No. 2695045M Gdr (Late) Hukum Singh Meena, SM of 12 GRENADIERS, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

The ceremony was conducted with full military decorum, paying homage to his exemplary courage, unwavering dedication, and selfless service to the nation. The wreath was laid by Smt Mosmi, wife of Gdr (Late) Hukum Singh Meena, SM, as a mark of deep respect and gratitude towards the brave soldier.

Gdr (Late) Hukum Singh Meena, SM laid down his life while fighting terrorists during “Op Rakshak CI (Ops) (J&K)” on 06 Nov 2007, displaying indomitable spirit and devotion to duty in the highest traditions of the Indian Army.

An interaction was also organised with Mrs Rita Mitra, during which the family was assured of the Regiment’s continued support, care and unwavering commitment towards the welfare of the Veer Naris and their families.
